AFIYA HOWELL

A native of Washington, D.C., she began her incredible journey as a psalmist at the age of 14. She sang in the choir at Evangel Cathedral in Upper Marlboro MD, where Bishop Don Meares is Pastor and her years of relentless dedication fostered accelerated growth and recognition. She became a primary Praise & Worship Leader at her local church and continued to exude an unwavering commitment to the
ministry and serving in excellence. In doing so, she was afforded the opportunity of being the Music Producer for numerous Broadway-style productions at Evangel Cathedral, which attracted over 30,000 attendees each year.

Afiya has shared the stage as a background vocalist for Gospel legends such as Bishop Marvin Sapp, Yolanda Adams, Karen Clark-Sheard, Albertina Walker, Lecresia Campbell, and the late Daryl Coley, just to name a few. Today, she has stepped out from the background and onto the frontline of her own destiny as a trailblazer within the Praise & Worship music genre. Her first EP is already in the works, so keep your ear to the ground because this project will light up your LIFE!
